[Announcement] Dev Log #2 - October 2022

03 October 2022

Hello dear players, welcome to our second dev log!

Preface

Today, we will be talking about GhostFlyFF's greatly awaited first content expansion! With this expansion, we will be bringing new types of gear and gearing mechanics to the game.

Before we get into it, we would like to remind everyone that what follows is development footage and images. As such, this work is not finished and may not be accurate to what will be released on the live servers.

New items & gearing mechanics

This expansion is bringing new things to make characters shine even more!
What you can expect are BroochesRelics, and an item for upgrading Rarity Stats. What are those, you say? Glad you asked!

Brooches & Relics

As you may have noticed, the equipment window has two slots that characters are not able to fill yet. These slots are made for equipping a Brooch and a Relic.

Both of these will be upgradeable pieces of equipment, whose stats will increase with every upgrade, up to +10. They will each be upgradeable using their own upgrading materials.

Upgrading Rarity Stats

Players who believe the rarity system is too tedious will be happy to hear that they will be able to upgrade their rarity stats with the expansion!

By using an item they which can be farmed or bought via the market, players will have the opportunity to increase the stats granted by their rarity by a small amount, usable as many times as they'd like. Please note that this does not make it possible to exceed the current maximum rarity of +22 stat per line.
Not satisfied with your STR+22 / STR+19 rarity? This is the chance for you to not delete that item!

New Content

Of course, these new items also come with new content to obtain them. Here are some previews of what's to come to GhostFlyFF!

Etherild and Dracfield

These two dungeons are party dungeons, and the location where players will be able to obtain materials to create their Brooch.

Be wary however, as these otherworldly places have requirements to allow entry:
Etherild is only accessible by characters who have maxed out their Hero Grade's path of Light, while Dracfield is only accessible by characters who have maxed out their Hero Grade's path of Darkness.

Frostic Cavern

Once entering this frozen place with their party, players will have to defeat several powerful monsters, in order to obtain materials to create their Relic.
Make sure not to catch a frostbite on the way!

Colosseum

In this arena, players will have to overcome the challenge of fighting 5 strong bosses by themselves, in order to obtain what they need to increase their rarity stats!

Be wary, though, as the final boss, the Wrathborne Soul, will have its very own set of mechanics.

Onima Raid

After defeating the monsters of the Ghost Nexus, players will now have the chance to enter the domain of Eva, the Ice Queen!
In this domain, the participants will have to cooperate in order to survive Eva's very own set of mechanics.

Don't forget that this is just a sample of what's coming. As with everything, to know all of the information about these features, you will have to wait for the patch and check it out in-game!
This concludes our Dev Log #2. Thank you for reading thus far, and thank you for playing Ghost FlyFF.

Goodbye for now!
